They created it in response to BrewDog's 55% End of History beer released just last week. "Start the Future" also beats "End of History" in terms of price point as well: the higher ABV beverage costs a mere €35 ($46 US), compared to BrewDog's £500 ($764 US) bottle. Meant to be enjoyed from a small glass and not from a beer glass,, the only drawback to "Start the Future"? It doesn't come in bottles encased in dead squirrels.

Wow a beer with 60% alcohol. I can see why it should be drunk as a whiskey or cognac. A beer this strong is not really a beer and the company releasing it is just doing it for publicity. At least the price is much less than the previous 55% alcohol beer that was charging $780 each. At $45 each it may actually be worth trying just to say you’ve tried it. Not sure what other purpose a drink like this serves.
