Butterfly Art - Recycling Beer Cans

From artist Paul Villinski comes this mind blowing interior butterfly pattern that challenges the idea of conventional designs. Made from beer cans gathered off the streets of New York City, Paul patiently crafted these butterflies one by one and hand made stunning wall designs.

We are not aware of how the process goes exactly, but we really like the end result. Aesthetic and functional, these amazing arrays of butterflies could go well with the already existing wallpapers or paintings or even replace them if needed. Just imagine what you could do with such a design in the kids’ room. We enjoy the way they look in the pictures and we assume that they are connected in a way that is transparent.

  1. This is a great example of one thing being able to be used somewhere else. recycling is something big in todays world and using it as art is even better. it also looks cool anywhere you put it.

  2. I find it very interesting that Paul could think up something as odd as using beer cans for art and succeeding. It's good to know that empty beer cans are being used for things besides being crushed for primitive displays of strength and being put in a landfill to rot for many years.

  3. The art is cool. Taking something destructive , beer cans, and transforming it into more appealing to the eye. This also shows recylce into an art form. I think people should look at their trash in a different way. Maybe we could reduce our landfills if people find more useful ways for trash.

  4. That is amazing! That's some good recycling! Sometimes it's hard to tell what is trash and what is treasure. Obviously this artist found something so common as a can and turned it into art! Very creative!
    Nice post!

  5. It is very nice to see the beer cans become beautiful arts. these arts remind me when I was a students in middle school, we used any tin cans to make all kinds of arts. I did have a really good time back then.

  6. It’s pretty cool how people make art out of objects like this and I myself know people that have decorated their house with some sort of can or beer caps and it looks rather cool. Not something that I would do, but it is very interesting.

  7. This is very interesting on the concepts and the ideas which run through the artists' minds. To think of such art and to create these pieces is unbelievable to my mind. However, these people are talented in their work and have an amazing way to look at simple objects, such as beer cans, and develop art.
